A Letter From The Director:

Mission: To register people to vote, and encourage them to exercise that right. To register any eligible person, but to specifically indentify disenfranchised, unrepresented, and underrepresented people. To offer tactical, political, and/or financial support for political candidates that share these goals.

First, thank you for visiting.

One of the reasons I ever considered entering public policy was because I liked helping the neighbors. I’m the guy that can help with their mail person delivery issue.

Sometimes, in fact, most of the time, doing the right thing is hard.  Such is the case with public policy. Government is hard. Like wading through levels of bureaucracy for hours just to speak to someone with just enough authority to make a decision.  I once spent three and a half frustrating hours on the telephone with the County Assessor's Office because my neighbor had her taxes go up more than a thousand dollars. It almost drove me bats, but we got her taxes reduced and all was well. It felt good to help the neighbor.

It is the path of least resistance to go along just to get along; to be pissed off at government only because everyone else seems to be. Things may be difficult, but this is no time to give up and think that government has nothing to do with us. No, this is our town/state/country too, not just “those people” in other places. This is ours, all of ours. So it happens that we are the ones in charge. We have the power of voice and vote. That’s not hard, That’s Democracy.
